The West Deptford School District entered a partnership with National Energy Partners to install a district-wide solar system to help the District meet its sustainability and cost-saving goals. The project’s solar arrays are mounted on 4 district school roofs as well as a carport over the High School student parking area. A total of 5,485 solar panels will generate over 1.8 million kilowatt hours of energy annually, helping to cover most of the schools’ energy needs. The solar system provides the West Deptford school district a lower energy rate that will allow significant savings to be dedicated to future educational initiatives. National Energy Partners’ solar system is an ideal fit for the school district’s efforts to become more environmentally conscious and cost-effective, while offering educational opportunities to its students.
