Jeremy Conner is a managing member and co-founder of NEP. Mr. Conner is responsible for financing strategies, as well as project acquisition and development. He brings a vast range of experience in real estate development and management. Mr. Conner's real estate background includes selling, leasing, managing, and developing large commercial real estate projects. Mr. Conner moved into the renewable energy sector with a focus on photovoltaic solar projects, in 2009. His extensive knowledge of the real estate development process has greatly enhanced NEP's development capabilities. Mr. Conner plays an intricate roll in the company's project acquisition efforts. His work has helped the company secure a pipeline of over 100MW of projects. Mr. Conner served honorably in the US Army on active duty for five years.
President and COO
Louis V. Sabec, Managing Member, co-founder, and current Energy Developer for NEP, has worked in the energy industry for over 16 years. Mr. Sabec was first introduced to the industry while working for his family’s fuel oil business, Apex Oil Company. During this time, Mr. Sabec gained invaluable experience in the energy sector and intimate knowledge of its economics. Mr. Sabec completed the entry level exam from the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) and Lou has demonstrated his knowledge and principals in the application, design, installation and operation of grid-tie and stand-alone photovoltaic systems. Lou is currently responsible for the day-to-day operations of National Energy Partners and coordinates the many facets of the company's business development. He has developed over 100 MW’s of projects including several large scale solar projects.
Kaylynn Kim, Executive VP of Finance & Assets
Kaylynn Kim is a Principal Member at NEP, her primary responsibilities include the management of the firm's current portfolio/assets, project finance and investor relations. Prior to joining National Energy Partners, Kaylynn worked as Managing Director of Stern Brothers & Co. in the Project Facilities and Municipal Finance Group, providing investment banking and financial advisory services to municipalities and private entities. Prior to Stern Brothers & Co., she worked as Senior Counsel at Allen, Matkins, Leck, Gamble, Mallory & Natsis, where she specialized in renewable energy, land use, and real estate and finance laws. Past accomplishments include serving as a Mayoral appointee on the Los Angeles Board of Harbor Commissioners from September 2005 until June 2011, and serving a prestigious 15-member advisory board, The California Climate Change Adaptation Advisory Board, appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to assist the State with environmental policy guidelines published in January 2011. Kaylynn's specialties include Real Estate, Energy/Infrastructure, Power Purchase Agreements, Investment Tax Credits, and New Markets Tax Credits Management.
Vice President of Operations & Process Engineer
Armin Niaki is the Vice President of Operations & Process Engineer for National Energy Partners (NEP). Mr. Niaki is responsible for the reporting of the critical path analysis of the company's solar development projects, preliminary design development and contract negotiations with engineering services, vendors, and electrical contractors to deliver complete Solar Photovoltaic systems. In addition, Mr. Niaki provides direction to project teams, ensuring NEP's projects are delivered on time and on budget.
Mr. Niaki expertise includes Design Development, Business Operations Analytics, Data Analysis, Statistical modeling, Forecasting, and Process Optimization. Academic accomplishments include published research in Industrial Engineering & Management Systems, Knowledge-Based Systems, and Reliability Engineering & System Safety. Degrees include a Master of Science in Statistics (West Virginia University), Master of Science in Industrial Engineering (West Virginia University), and Master of Architecture (University of Oregon).
Sales Operations Manager
Mr. Rink manages all sales operations for National Energy Partners. His responsibilities include project proposals, research and analysis for solar incentives, utility policies and advancements in solar-specific legislation. Mr. Rink also manages all operations for sales associates and referral partners, and the coordination for residential projects.
