SOLAR ENERGY BENEFITS
Solar energy is the #1 renewable energy source, and for good reason.
There are many benefits that commercial and residential consumers can gain by converting to solar energy. The universal benefits of Solar Energy include:
SOLAR ENERGY IS ENVIRONMENTALLY-FRIENDLY.
Solar Energy is the cleanest domestic energy source available, and the most effective way to reduce our carbon footprint. In fact, solar energy produces the least amount of carbon emissions per kilowatt-hour (kWh) of electric output.
Buildings are responsible for 38% of all carbon emissions in the U.S. Solar energy can reduce that figure dramatically. In fact, solar generation offsets more than 73 million metric tons of CO2 emissions each year, equivalent to:
-Taking 15.6 million vehicles off the road
-Planting nearly 1.2 billion trees
At National Energy Partners, we recognize the value of responsible environmental practices. We work with vendors that maintain the same beliefs in their manufacturing of solar panels.
SOLAR ENERGY DRASTICALLY REDUCES OR ELIMINATES YOUR UTILITY BILL
Whether you are a homeowner, business or nonprofit, electricity costs can take up a large part of your monthly budget. With solar energy, you generate FREE POWER throughout the lifecycle of your solar panel systems.
With National Energy Partners’ industry-leading warranties, that means FREE POWER for 25 YEARS.
And that’s just the BEGINNING! The higher your utility costs, the more you save.
At National Energy Partners, we work to develop solar panel systems that yield the highest energy production available.
SOLAR ENERGY COMBATS SOARING ENERGY COSTS.
Simply put, Fossil Fuels are becoming increasingly scarce. Limited availability results in increased costs and market volatility, adding risk to consumers. In fact, over the last decade, utility costs have increased an average of 3% EACH YEAR, while the cost to install solar energy has declined by more than 70% during the same timeframe. Current trends suggest that costs associated with traditional energy will continue to increase.
National Energy Partners provides solar energy development with long-term, fixed pricing. We help home and business owners to forecast their expenses accurately and avoid the growing costs associated with traditional energy.
SOLAR ENERGY IS A GREAT RETURN ON INVESTMENT.
Solar panel systems are one of the best ways to invest for both business and home owners. With the combined factors of utility savings, Federal and State incentives, SRECS and more, solar energy can yield highly-competitive returns for decades to come.
At National Energy Partners, we help clients navigate this process to identify the most lucrative options available.
SOLAR ENERGY IS THE MOST AFFORDABLE FORM OF RENEWABLE ENERGY.
Solar Energy is the leading form of energy production in terms of affordability, that can be factored to three distinct segments:
(1) Installation - A number of Rebates, Federal Tax Credits, State-Issued Incentives, and historically low installation costs, combined, can reduce the initial cost of installing a solar panel system between 30-50%
(2) Continued savings – consumers can dramatically reduce or eliminate their monthly utility bill. This results in immediate savings and avoiding the risk of increased costs associated with traditional energy sources. Additionally, practices such as Net Metering can further assist in managing your monthly utility bill.
(3) Solar Industry Advantages – Policies and programs within the solar industry provide further financial incentives. Policies such as Solar Renewable Energy Credits (SREC) provide cash incentives for the energy produced from your solar panel system.
At National Energy Partners, we work with our customers to get the best contract available for State Renewable Energy Credits (SRECs). This helps to maximize your system's value.
SOLAR ENERGY HAS LUCRATIVE INCENTIVES.
Solar Energy comes with lucrative incentives offered to both residential and commercial consumers alike. At National Energy Partners, we help home and business owners navigate these complex landscapes, to identify the most profitable methods available. Incentives include:
Investment Tax Credit (ITC)
Issued by the Federal Government, The Investment Tax Credit (Or, Solar Tax Credit) is available to both home and business owners. It provides a tax deduction equal to 30% of the cost of the solar panel system (less any cash rebates). Time is limited for this benefit, as it is projected to end in 2022.
State Tax Credits
State Tax Credits deduct a portion of the cost of a solar panel system from your State tax bill. Since these credits are issued by the State, they can vary significantly.
Rebates can vary but are typically issued by your municipality, utility company, or other organization that wants to promote solar energy. These rebates are limited in time and can vary by region.
Solar Renewable Energy Certificates (SRECs)
SRECs vary by State. An SREC is a credit you can earn for the energy produced by your solar system. You can earn a single SREC when your solar system produces 1,000 kWhs of electricity.
In some States, legislation requires utility companies to generate a percentage of their electricity from solar power. SRECs can be purchased by such utility companies so that they can comply with state-issued legislation. Selling SRECs can result in an additional source of income for home and business owners in eligible markets.
Performance-Based Incentives (PBIs)
Some states or utilities offer performance-based incentives (PBIs). PBIs pay solar energy system owners a per kilowatt-hour credit for the electricity that their systems produce. Incentive rates are determined when the system is installed. PBIs may replace or exist alongside net metering policies.
SOLAR ENERGY IS A STABLE AND ROBUST INDUSTRY
Solar power remains the fastest-growing energy technology. The world’s installed photovoltaic (PV) capacity doubles every two years, according to Green Tech Media. If this growth rate continues, solar panels could supply the entire planet’s current electricity needs in 10 years.
SOLAR ENERGY HAS A PROFOUND SOCIAL IMPACT.
Solar energy has a substantial social impact. The solar industry provides more jobs than the coal or upstream oil & gas sectors in the United States. The solar industry added jobs at a rate nearly 12 times faster than the overall U.S. economy in 2015.
A study was issued by The Solar Energy Industries Association, titled “Solar as an Economic Engine.” It notes that over 242,000 Americans work in solar (more than double the number in 2012). at more than 10,000 companies in every U.S. state, solar energy is a strong contributor to the American economy.
SOLAR ENERGY IS PROVEN, RELIABLE TECHNOLOGY.
The science behind solar energy was discovered 100+ years ago and has come a long way since its inception. Stable advancements have caused the solar industry to grow an average of 59% every year, for the last decade.
National Energy Partners recognizes the value of trusted and secure technology. We offer industry-leading warranties and monitoring and maintenace throughout the life of your solar panel system.
SOLAR ENERGY PROVIDES CUSTOM SOLUTIONS.
Solar energy is the most customizable form of renewable energy. Due to the modular nature of PV solar systems, projects can be scaled to fit a client’s needs. Solar panel systems can utilize available space with mounting options including ground, carport and/or rooftop.
Additionally, there are few to no moving parts in solar arrays. This dramatically reduces operating and maintenance costs over the life of a solar panel system.
SOLAR ENERGY HAS COMPETITIVE FINANCING.
National Energy Partners provides solar energy with long-term, fixed pricing.
