Ramapo College of New Jersey committed to their vision of environmental responsibility by partnering with National Energy Partners to install a campus-wide solar system. The solar project will generate over 5.2 million kilowatt hours of energy helping to cover a majority of the schools’ energy needs – that is enough energy to power over 650 homes! The system includes solar panels installed in a ground-mounted array, on the roofs of 9 campus structures including academic buildings, the library and the college’s Sports Center, as well as one of the largest carport systems in New Jersey over the campus’ main parking area.
